Have We Gone Insane?
Noah here, stepping in for Neal for today's edition of Chronicling the Fall. I'm new at this so I'm going to go about this a bit differently. My topic is HAVE WE GONE INSANE?? Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with us as a global society that these atrocities have gone on before our very eyes which we have shut tightly, afraid of what we will see? Here are my examples and some answers for these sickos to seek some medical, professional or mental help.
If France wasn't weird enough, this is more proof that some people just aren't right in the head.
Apparently "authorities", the great French Police, I imagine, discovered over 350 dead fetuses kept in a hospital morgue for over 20 years! How creepy is that? Dead babies in the basement? I shuddered when I read this. Health Minister Xavier Bertrand said in a brief statement:
"I want to share my deep emotion and indignation at this discovery," said Bertrand after visiting the hospital in southern Paris. "This situation demands that we find the truth."
You're damn right it does! 350 dead babies lingering beneath the hospital of which people should feel safe and comfortable in is more than a little creepy. These were human beings. They deserved to be buried properly, even if they were mostly stillborns.
I don't understand how after 20 years, this is finally brought to attention. Somewhere along the lines shouldn't someone working there with a conscience think to themselves....Gee...this doesn't seem right? Then again, guess not.

Well once again here is more proof of how sickeningly soft our society and it's authority figures have become. A convicted sex offender, Robert Wayne Thompson, 46, agreed to a plea agreement to knit lap blankets for people who are wheel-chair bound. The judge ordered Thompson to complete 320 hours worth of community service by knitting in order to lessen his workload, due to his history of heart complications. Thompson said he could knit two afghans per day, which would equal six hours of community service. FANSTASTIC! Now we don't have to worry about him assaulting little kids in those six hours!
First off, I'd like to say that knitting is not a form of discipline. It cannot be treated as a punishment, I don't care who you are! So what if it is for old nannies who have nothing better to do? Community service in exchange for molesting a child, in which Thompson was indicted on six counts of aggravated sexual assault and eight counts of indecency (with a child). Ohh and get this! As part of the plea agreement, prosecutors dismissed 12 counts of the indictment. How lovely!
Fuck You. Fuck the system. The whole judicial system is a joke. He is now a registered sex offender and will serve FIVE years on parole. That's it? Plus he can't come within 1,000 feet of anywhere children commonly play (a playground park, no, really? In the street?) AND he has to take sex offender counseling. Great to know this is where our tax dollars are going.
In Sex Counseling:
Sex Counselor: Mr. Thompson, Don't touch children. It is just wrong, can't you see that?
Me: Oh and while you're sitting at home knitting, staying far away from the children, please, don't watch any television either. We all know that watching Elmo count numbers with 5 year olds on Sesame Street probably gave you a boner you sick twisted fuck!
Why is it that sex offenders get released back into society while there are many innocent people in jail convicted of murder, rape, and theft? If we are to wisely put our tax dollars to use, a decent use would not be this waste of time, but instead let's do more DNA testing to clear out our prisons of the thousands of wrongly accused innocents behind bars deprived of any life they once had. Better yet, once we release them, let's take these sex offenders and put them behind bars where they belong. Safe and secluded from society! Sulk damn you, sulk.
Oh, and he pleaded No Contest to the charges. No shit??!
