![]() Welcome to the home of the very worst of the meretricious poetasters! number 43 for 9-3-05: Get Back in the Car, You Smirking Slut First off, I know that the news media organizations have shown little but black people from New Orleans. Yelling about not having help. Screaming about the dead. I don't think this is a diabolical conspiracy. I don't think the government had no plans for New Orleans because its people were black. I think it's because they're POOR. Now, granted, a large portion of the poor in that community are black. I see it, and I respect it. But I think the larger issue here is not why the government is racist (though it is, this is NOT the major factor in this case), but rather, why the government has no love for the poor, black, white, Mexican or martian. I read angry words from people, justifiably angry people, who say that the blacks are being exploited in New Orleans. Fuck yes they are. By the media. This man, Randall Robinson, postulates that this country is a fraud because, as he puts it, the blacks are eating corpses in New Orleans. But the fact is, there's no way he can know the corpse eating is even really happening (it's not confirmed) or that white people aren't eating just as many corpses or more. He then indicates that this is the defining watershed moment for racial history in the United States. Never mind the freeing of the slaves, the Watts riots, the Rodney King beating, things that were clearly racial based attacks or movements in the field of racial history. Nah. Fox News holding tight on the black ladies holding up their babies and scattered reports of starving people eating corpses mean that racism is at its peak. This is NOT the worst fucking thing the whites have done to the blacks, by far, and pulling race in this issue beyond lamenting that a large portion of the poor people (those fucked in NO) are black and trying to rectify the economic system that led to that situation is nothing more than trying to draw attention to oneself, as Robinson appears to be doing. We should care that HE is angry, that HE is shaking, but all I see is a very angry man with a quickly written essay of anger without point. Time he could have spent helping the victims, if he identifies with them so much. Me? My position is clear, which is why I'm not on a bus to huck bodies. I assume he, like the rest of the oh-so-sympathetic if it'll get me media attention fools, will not be heading to New Orleans anytime soon. Where was this scathing essay ten days ago when "his" people, the blacks, were most of the poverty despite being ten percent of the population? THAT, my friends, is the racial watershed we need to fix, not the fact that most of the people getting fucked in New Orleans are black. Why, instead, are blacks the largest portion of the poor communities? Fuck eating corpses. When it's all over, how about the people who have to struggle to eat? Citation Same to you, Jesse Jackson. You speak a big game from your helicopter, where are your hands on the bodies of the people you so sympathize for? Had you been in Orleans, would you have stayed, or gotten out? Citation Kanye West goes nuts on air, talking about just getting back from shopping and then pointing out in hypocrisy how George Bush doesn't help black people, again making it a racial battle. Black leaders, black role models, and other black mentors should take some responsibility here. Yeah, what white people have done to the impoverished has SUCKED, and it is wrong, but your words, the things you say that are retarded, like this, make the fool (not me, but the fool) who is predilected to call blacks lazy and blame them for the problems white America visits on them, will become even more cemented into his bigotry when he draws the parallel between what is and what black leaders are saying. Citation GEORGE BUSH DOESN'T HELP BLACK PEOPLE. This is true. But not only does George Bush not help black people, he also fucks ALL of the poor people. This is a COLOR BLIND issue in that sense. If it had occurred here, in Washington State, there would be thousands of dead white people floating all around, and they wouldn't say that it was because George Bush doesn't care about white people. It's because George Bush doesn't give a fuck about the poor. Does this hurt the black community? Fuck yes, and my sympathies, in that respect. More blacks were harmed than whites in this act, and that is sad. Was this an ATTACK on the black community by those in power? No. This was a failure to protect the poor by the rich. It fucked a lot of black people by tangential relation. And that sucks. Do I believe that Bush COULD have done more, and didn't, because he believed that the population was largely black? Yes, but I think just as much he did it because they were poor. That he didn't have the forsight to see how the black community would respond to that, I believe, is his worst failing. He should have worked to bridge the divide and maintain the already tenuous race relations he has strained with his administration. But had he done that, he'd be a different, good person that he's not. Don't expect fur on a snake. If you want something to bitch at, don't make it a race issue. Emphasizing race only leads to a more pronounced gulf BETWEEN races. Instead, focus on fixing the problem, which is George Fucking Bush, who cut 44 percent of the flood control funding to pay for his GOD DAMNED war. And he didn't do it because he hates the blacks, he did it because he's an inept leader, which led to fucking the poor, a large portion of whom are black. I hate to put it this way, but I have in the past, I will again. WE DESERVE THIS BECAUSE WE ALLOWED HIM TO BE ELECTED ONCE, AND WE DIDN'T BITCH WHEN HE RIGGED AN ELECTION. We let our guard down. Even the poor have a voice. They don't use it, and they get fucked, and I have no pity for that either. I am poor and I am using my voice. They can, too, and not when they're floating away on Fox News, I mean in LIFE. And as horrible, as calloused, and as rotten as it is to say, I hope we fucking learn our lesson from this. Bush is good for money, and bad for HUMANS, who exist, and eat little bread, and float away when the big man's war diverts funding from fighting the wrath of God. Citation Three days ago, George Bush expressed sentiments that we needed to hold Iraq at all costs to preserve the oil fields, as Katrina headed for the gulf. Citation Now, he considers the response to the disaster inadequate, from Air Force One, eating gourmet meals given to him by top chefs, in his nice suits, with servants. Citation And we elected a man we knew would be like this because we were scared. This shit is OUR OWN fault. A man who stands for fanatical religious organizations such as THIS ONE, who say that what happened to New Orleans was the vengeance of an angry God for wanting to have a pro-gay meeting in the state: Citation I listened to the mayor of New Orleans talking about how horrible the response was, and it was hard not to pity him. It was. He is presiding over a colossal failure of his own doing. He should have emptied the city. He failed. Citation New Orleans is one big failure right now. A failure of stupid people to run from the path of a hurricane. A failure of the media to responsibly report, sensationally increasing tensions between blacks and whites. A failure of the intent and purpose of the National Guard, who is supposed to guard the nation, not colonize. A failure of the mayor. A failure of the governor. And one of a long line of blunders from our smirking, dipshit president. He's stupid, so we like him. How American of us. Tell that to the dead. |
