Doesn't Matter if You're Consenting...Big Brother is Watching
It's good to know that the government is looking to stop the threat of porn.
It wasn't enough to abridge the rights of the gays, it's not enough to stop anyone on television from saying the word "fuck" or showing a tit, because lord knows no kid has ever seen or heard those things occasionally and come out of it okay.
But now, here's a nice little excerpt about the new porn squad in the Justice Department from the Washington Post:
The new squad will divert eight agents, a supervisor and assorted support staff to gather evidence against "manufacturers and purveyors" of pornography - not the kind exploiting children, but the kind that depicts, and is marketed to, consenting adults.
"I guess this means we've won the war on terror," said one exasperated FBI agent, speaking on the condition of anonymity because poking fun at headquarters is not regarded as career-enhancing. "We must not need any more resources for espionage."
