Look at it for a good while.
Now realize that the man who is saying radicals abuse religion is quoted right above the senate that he runs changing the status of detainees to POWs even before it is known whether or not they're going to be charged.
According to the only article I could find about worldwide terrorism deaths, from 2001-2004, there were approximately three thousand deaths caused by religious terrorists.

According to Iraqi Body Count (which may be off), the count of INNOCENT (not combatant) civilians in Iraq as of today is anywhere from 26,323 to 29,653 people.
Say that they're way off. Say that it's ten thousand deaths. That's still three times all of the deaths worldwide from terror in the three years following September 11.

Bear in mind, this is just in Iraq, not Afghanistan, where the civilian death toll is also high. I still have a shell from the fifty cal that shot up and killed everyone at that wedding, which you've likely all forgotten already.
