I just put a report in the CTF that indicated they were about to INCREASE the number of troops in Iraq, on orders from a head official, I think it was Rummy.
Now, I'm reading reports that, barring any surprises, they'll actually start taking people out. So a mixed message, of course, as if there were any other. Rice says one thing, Rumsfield says another. Then Rumsfield, it would seem, jumps on board with the "we're leaving" camp.

Furthermore Texas, though ALSO within their legal bounds, has silenced the Cindy Sheehan march and stopped them from camping along a road, swooping down and arresting a group of people that weren't harming anyone. They weren't charged with littering (IE it wasn't their campsite which was disruptive), they were charged with trespassing. It's a loophole law to stop them from speaking their peace, and it's bullshit. No free speech but in a free speech zone. That's the goddamned Bush way.
