Ink is expensive

And markets are expensive

And time most expensive of all

There is meat in my chest

That is cheap

Paint is expensive

I don’t want to paint any more

I don’t want to ink and time and

Spend on anything, I just want to feel

And feeling is not

Particularly male

Nor is it cheap

Dirt is free and care is free

And love and sex are free

Noodles are relatively cheap

But they make you fat

You can steal music

Neighbors will be there for you sometimes

And Christmas lights make a smile

Walk in the wind and dream of something

I guess

Because you don’t have to pay bills on that
