I always used to yell at the dog because
She left her balls in the tall grass
And I would mow them and it would
Scare the shit out of me.
My dog choked to death on her own
Kidney toxins and died in
Extraordinary pain.
She’s been dead for two months.
I ran over a ball again today
And just fell to my knees and wept.
