Here's the gist, folks. As a writer, I am published. Rarely, but it happens. Even rarer still, you sometimes find an occasion to be in something people must buy to enjoy. In that event, I get pennies on the dollar for what you pay for the book, and if a bunch of people buy it, I get to fill up the gas tank of my car. But more important, I get to say to publishers, "I've been in this, that, and the other! You'd be a fool not to publish my vomitous drivel." So HURRY UP AND BUY!
